Mekuriaw Chanie (Dr), Executive Director
Mekuriaw Chanie is originally from Africa- Ethiopia. Mekuriaw wrote one book and published four community based research articles, and presented his works in two International Conferences in India and Indonesia. He has a bachelor’s in Political Science and International Relations from the University of Addis Ababa, MA from Ethiopian Civil Service university, and PhD in Public Policy and Governance from Jain (Deemed-to-be) University, Bangalore. He awarded as one of the three excellent PhD performer scholars at Jain University in 2022, Bangalore, India. He began his career as a social studies teacher in 1996 and has since moved on to become a lecturer at various universities, an advisor in the Ministry of Federal Affairs and the Ministry of Peace, and a lead analyst for policy, strategy, and research at Ethiopia’s Ministry of Urban and Development. In addition, he served as a special advisor to the Gambella regional government’s cabinet. He was also experienced working in three NGOs as MEAL, Program Director, and currently Executive Director for the National Social Accountability Consortium which is composed of 16 National NGOs in Ethiopia. He permanently resides in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

Aiden Mulatu (MA), Program Director
Profile with over 16 years of experience in project coordinator and management. With educational background MA in Social Psychology She was board member of NaSAC and one of the founding members.

The National Social Accountability Consortium composed of 16 national local CSOs established in 29 February 2024 to implement an integrated social accountability programme, synergizing their different strengths and competencies. The majority of members of the consortium had extensive experience in implementing social accountability programs at national level in addition to integrated humanitarian and development interventions.
