Message from the Executive Director
When we design a social accountability intervention in Ethiopia through our consortium, we want to support our members to hold service providers accountable. Together with our strategic partners and founding members, we determined to make change for the lives of citizens through peaceful development. For the sake of the benefit of the mass, both state and non-state actors should be responsible for the service they deliver. Social accountability to be appropriately addressed, cross-cutting issues should be considered. Thus, different group of people in our community could not be discriminated in getting equitable and quality basic services due to a given culture, context and history.
Our personal plans and dreams are inseparable from NaSAC’s vision and we stand ready to achieve our mission: “Support civil society constructive engagement in the process of creating an enabling social accountability environment in which quality services provided to the public”. We have faith in that we are very committed to work and to join hands with people around the world, donors, partners, and stakeholders to actively build our consortium. This initiative could not have established without the support of VNG International-Management Agency for ESAP3, and Authority for Civil Society Organizations keeping the 16 founding members took the lions share. We appreciate their support. We are always welcome any individual and organization that supports our vision.
May our almighty help us to finish our journey!
Mekuriaw Chanie (PhD), Executive Director, NaSAC
