Organizational profile
Background
One-Hadiya Elites Association (OHEA) is a civil society organization with vibrant and multidisciplinary professionals, having the general aim of contributing to the development of the needy community in Ethiopia. The decision to establish the association emanated from several discussions on the problems affecting Ethiopia and with a belief to be part of the solution, rather than simply observing the problems. As an accountable and responsible citizen, every member of the association has an intense desire and passion to take his/her share of contributions for the betterment of the community.
Objectives
The organization’s main objective is to make professional contributions to Ethiopia’s economic, socio-cultural, administrative, and development affairs in general. More specifically the objectives include:
- To actively engage in development affairs such as the promotion of education, promotion of health, socio-cultural issues, consultancy in entrepreneurship, and consultancy in infrastructure developments.
- To build the capacity of government officials and administrative workers at different levels
- To conduct and facilitate research aiming to solve the community problems
- To recognize and award champions who demonstrated the best and exemplary performances in different sectors of activity (E.g., leadership, media, service, student’s results)
- To facilitate opportunities for the members to get short-term and long-term training both locally and internationally.
